A Camping Hammock is the New Sleeping Bag

With a sleeping bag, even with a mat, there is no getting around the fact that you are sleeping on a hard floor. I love camping but I am a cranky sleeper and tend to wake up un-rested and sore. So on a friends recommendation I tried a camping hammock instead and it was a revelation. It was easy to find a camp spot, easy to set up and just so much more comfortable that I got a great nights sleep. Not only that, it was cheaper than my sleeping bag, it weighs less and appears to be more durable. Now I’m back from camping I’ve got myself a stand so that I can enjoy it in my back garden on a sunny day – not something I would think about doing with my sleeping bag.
