My thrifty mother
You may remember that on a few occasions I have mentioned my thrifty mother, who collects rubbish in order to get air miles, who watches every penny and never seems to need anything. She repairs all her own clothing (and ours!) and can cook up a storm in the kitchen with any leftovers. Well, this time, she’s really impressed me. At the grand age of 67, she took a course at the local library about surfing the internet. For her birthday, we put money towards an internet connection at her home. She has now found voucher code sites on the internet and is using them regularly to get discounts on all sorts of things- the latest being meals out! Apparently, these sites supply restaurant vouchers for all kinds of places! I am always surprised at how amazing my mother is but this is really something!
