September Turned Out To Be A Bad Month For Scottish Retail Sales
Retail industry in Scotland has fall further in September. The facts and figures shows that the retails sales have decreased by 0.4%. These figures were taken from the Scottish Retail Consortium show.
The ticket items suffered the biggest loss including housewares and modern furniture. Unfortunately the unbalanced housing market continues to fall which means they are putting puttings on products such as furniture, DIY purchases and housewares.
Though having blamed the housing the market they have seen an overall increase in retails in comparison to last year. The total sales were up by 2.3% in 2010 compare to 2009. They said the clothing and footwear sales also fell in September but not sure how they are still up in total sales. Incredible eh!
