A Great Learning Experience

In my fifteen years as a teacher, one of the most important lessons I have learned is that kids remember things better when you associate them with things they love. That is why we always tell stories and sing songs in my class. And every year, we have a chocolate week. We talk about the history of chocolate, do chocolate math, conduct science experiments with the substance, and learn some Fun Chocolate Facts. The kids look forward to it all year long, and I have had many students tell me even years later that they still remember it. It is a great learning experience.
