This progressive tax would not tax half or nearly half of their incomes.

In fact by defintion it could not tax half.

Let’s say you earn $2 mill per year.

The first 500 k is taxed at basically 32% on average, the next 500 k is taxed at 40% and the final half is taxed at 50%.

Total taxes paid are roughly 43%. Considering all the loopholes that would end up being created and deductions none of the poor could take, they will end up paying about 35%, which is what the middle class pays now.

Currently, this group is paying roughly 18-20%, which puts them in the second lowest group of tax payers as a percentage of income. The only people who pay less are basically destitute.

And in answer to your condescension of the political process, I would have to say the rich in this country are complete cheapskates and theives and are only 2% of the populace. So, if you think this can’t work, you are confused.

Yes, the demand is there and yes there might be people who would want the dog training advice – but, you have to add the total cost up. With socialist policies out of Washington and unions, the gross cost to train has to be calculated.

The sad part is many unemployed and young people are given the truth about why they aren’t being trained or hired.

Another part of the equation is the option to outsource or automate. Labor is only one component.

Right now and as has been growing in recent years, there are too many people getting out of our liberally run public schools with inadequate skills and training.

We have huge taxes going to get people trained but the liberal education establishment has failed them!

While I was waiting to talk to the doctor the other day, I decided to fill out the reading test that I found in the back of one of their magazines at the office. It was amazing what I saw the results as being! I think there is a strong possibility of me needing reading glasses. While I don’t necessarily need to wear them all the time, but I think that it would be good for me to have a pair of glasses that I could use when I need to focus on something. That way I would be able to concentrate for a lot longer than usual, and I wouldn’t even get the head aches that I normally get whenever I read. Well, maybe I will end up heading to the eye doctor after I am finished with the normal doctor and then I can get some glasses that help me read!
