Illness caused our household debt

My wife and I have three children.  One of our daughters suffers from leukemia.  We had a little less than three weeks notice that our daughter was going to have a bone marrow transplant.  We live in Alaska and had to come to Seattle for this procedure.  We were told if everything goes as planned we would be away from home for four months.  We had some savings and some other financial assistance from other resources, however being away from our jobs and home caused us a great deal of credit card debt.  We are now enrolled with a credit card debt relief program and look forward to being out of debt soon.  I also want to mention that the transplant was successful and our daughter is currently in remission.
